Our Family

Ok, so honestly I'm just playing around with all the contraptions this "Blogger" has out there... but I figure that people might not want to sift through *thousands* (one day... yeah right) of blog posts to find out about us... So this is our permanent address.  You can find us here, always.

So, loooong story short, I went to college and started teaching in Alex's hometown.  He spent some time away, but eventually moved back home.  His mom started teaching at my school and for whatever reason fell in love with me.  She worked hard... I mean hard... at getting us together.

It didn't work.

But then, I had two friends, and we needed a house to live in.  And somehow, miraculously, Alex had a house.  Two, actually.  So we kicked him out of one and sent him to (finish renovating and) live in the other.

Our landlord wasn't the greatest at handling peripheral things, such as changing his address.  Needless to say, we saw him often.  A few repairs, mail pick-up, and my roommate's fabulous cooking later, somebody got a crush.  And by somebody I mean Alex.  He asked me out a week after my birthday, and that was all she wrote.

He proposed a week shy of a year later.

We were married 4 months after that.

Romes
Now we live in the same house the girls and I banished him to with 3.5 dogs: Herschel, the half-sized Great Dane; Georgia, a sassy King Charles Spaniel; Romes, a sweet, simple-minded half-breed (and Georgia's son); and Boomer, the leader, who shares his time between us and Alex's parents.

Georgia

Alex manages an insulation company, and I *just* got a 1st grade teaching position here in town (YAY!!).
